Default So Many Character Ideas! Need Help...

So I've played in 3 BWEs and I've tried many builds out and I still can't decide what I'd like to play. New ideas keep bombarding me all the time. I consider myself a fairly advanced gamer and I like playing complicated characters, regardless of the game so Mesmer and Necro appeal to me in many ways.

I have 3 builds I'm seriously considering and I could use some help to sort my thoughts on the matter if anyone is willing.

Here's my ideas:

1) Necromancer/Warrior: Blood/Curse/Axe/SoulReaping. Barbs + Flurry + Cleave for damage. Vampiric Gaze for some damage and health. Strip Enchantment for some health and enchantment removal. Insidious Parasite on tanks for added health for myself and loss for them. Rounded out with Awaken The Blood for improved Curse/Blood and Disrupting Chop for taking care of huge cast spells like Resurrect. Pretty much damage damage damage with survivability and utility.

I like this because it combines the energy of a primary caster with sort of an extra energy pool of a warrior(adrenaline) This allows the use of many abilities because you have 2 resources to draw from. Being up close slashing away is fun as well because it really puts you in the action.

2) Mesmer/Elementalist: Illusion/Inspiration/FastCasting. Total Disruption. Spell interrupts(Leech Signet/Power Drain) Energy Steal(Ether Feast) Snares(Imagined Burden) Adrenaline Denial(Soothing Images)...Just keep the enemy from doing what they want. Elementalist just for the Glyph of Lesser Energy to save energy.

I like this because..well... it ruins their day. A well timed Power Drain on an resurrect can win matches. Not much damage in this however...so my e-peen is a little less satisfied :P Fun nonetheless and very powerful.

3) Necromancer/Monk: Blood/Healing/?: I really haven't thought this through very much. I'd love to get some good life sac build going on though. Offering of Blood I especially like. Infuse Health, Blood is Power, Touch of Agony, Dark Aura... something along those lines, hopefully getting some combos figured out.

This is one I'd just like to do conceptually. "Master of life and death" If anyone has any ideas here(especially combos) I'd love to hear them.

---

I plan to play them all this next BWE and try them out some more but I could use any insight anyone might be able to bring.

Thanks!

I too am interested in a Necro/Monk "I am life & death incarnate!" character (sounds fun, no?) but I always thought I'd use Death Magic & Smiting Prayers to deal lots of armor ignoring magical damage.

I tried the Necro/Warrior during the last BWE, it was lots of fun. I believe a Warrior/Necro would fare way better in melee due to higher armor & strength instead of soul reaping though. (I just like the necro models. *sigh*)

With the Necro/War, you might want to focus on one Necro line, so you can spend some points on Tactics skills to boost your survivability (melee range is not the best place to be when you have almost half the armor of an average warrior).

Health gain is moot, and enchantment removal of choice is Rend Enchantments.

Crap skill, people can stop attacking if it's a problem, or ignore it if it's not. Health gain is minor.

More like Power Leak or Power Block. Power Drain is fine but not as a main interrupt, it's for energy gain.

It's not even an energy steal... It's a self-heal. Reasoning here? There are much better skills in Inspiration to use.

Why would you want a snare on a disruption build?

Sympathetic Visage would be better, but neither would be best.

Pretty pointless, use energy steals.

Why? Leave healing to the healers.

Ah, Dark Aura and sacrifice damage. Nothing you want to use if you're trying to BIP the Monks. If you do this you'd want to sacrifice only for damage dealing. I'd use it on a E/N with Aura of Restoration to a) heal back a bit of the sacrifice damage each use and b) get Energy Storage which is more reliable than Soul Reaping which it seems you're not using anyway.
